The Restoration of Historic Main Streets opportunity can close these gaps when applicants demonstrate commitments from licensed regional engineers and commitments to host two-day capacity workshops that transfer basic documentation skills to local volunteers. Priority scoring favors proposals that pair facade funding with measurable skill transfer to at least three building owners per county.
Idaho's unique inventory rules require every funded project to update the state's online historic sites database within 90 days of completion. Applications must therefore budget for GIS technicians familiar with the Idaho State Historical Society's ArcGIS platform rather than generic content management systems.
