Workforce pipelines rely heavily on out-of-state recruitment, yet retention after three years averages only 41 percent. Nonprofit research organizations seeking the innovative cancer research funding must therefore present detailed workforce assessments. Required documentation includes current staffing rosters for any proposed sample-processing sites and contingency plans for hiring contract research associates within 90 days of award. Projects involving patient navigation elements must also confirm that participating clinics hold active Idaho nursing board approvals for expanded-scope roles.
